Street Squares is a collection of photo assemblies that celebrate the overlooked beauty and complexity we walk past every day. The images are a study in abstraction, documenting texture and decay, intentional graffiti, and accidental chaos.
Each piece features a grid of images mounted on hand-finished, wooden gallery panels that float over a painted white backer. The finished assembly is captured with a mitered, Baltic Birch, exposed plywood frame. The meticulously crafted, dimensional assemblies bring a contrasting order to the often disparate imagery of the carefully organized collections.
Images were captured in square format in 2015 on the streets of Italy and France with an iPhone 6 and are printed on archival quality, Kodak Professional Endura Premier Lustre paper.
Hand-crafted and assembled in California.
